Hapag-Lloyd manages complex, multi-party shipping processes where exceptions are inevitable, from booking through collections. Using Camunda, the team built a case-centric exception management approach that detects issues early, routes them to the right teams, and automates resolution steps across departments and regions. This session shows how scalable BPMN- and DMN-driven models improve response times, increase process resilience, and streamline operations even when cargo moves outside the happy path.
