Product Owner Lead
Sébastien Barré is Product Owner Lead in the Network IT division at Proximus, where he oversees the orchestration capabilities supporting the company’s network operations. With a PhD from UCLouvain, Sébastien co‑invented Multipath TCP (MPTCP), the core technology that inspired the telco startup he later co‑founded, where he served as both CTO and COO. During this entrepreneurial period, Sébastien completed an Executive MBA at the Solvay Brussels School, strengthening his expertise in leadership and strategic execution. Today at Proximus, he leads teams building orchestration platforms and is actively leveraging Camunda as the backbone of operational processes.
Proximus tested whether an AI agent, orchestrated through Camunda, could guide operations to resolve incidents in under a minute. This session shares how the team selected the use case, designed the proof of concept, and blended documentation retrieval, AI reasoning, and BPMN-driven guardrails. Attendees will learn what worked, what did not, and how Proximus assessed architecture, value, and innovation potential when exploring agentic orchestration in Network IT.
